The ingredients of Ranbar SW3080 thermochromic pigment:

Ranbar Golden Yellow SW3080 thermochromic pigment is primarily composed of color-changing dye, color developers, and solvents. It is externally coated with a transparent protective layer of approximately 0.2 to 0.5 micrometers. This pigment appears golden yellow at low temperatures, fades to a colorless state as the temperature rises, and can return to the golden yellow color upon cooling. Due to its ability to undergo repeated color changes, it is also referred to as a reversible thermochromic pigment.

The mechanism of Ranbar SW3080 thermochromic pigment:

At high temperatures, the color-changing dyes and color developers within Ranbar thermochromic pigment SW3080 dissolve and disperse in the solvent, rendering the system colorless. As the temperature decreases, the solvent gradually solidifies, bringing the color-changing dyes and color developers into proximity. Under the influence of the color developer, the color-changing dyes undergo a structural transformation, leading to the manifestation of color in the system. By controlling the solidification temperature of the solvent, temperature-sensitive products with color changes at different temperatures can be prepared.

In practice, the temperature for color change in thermochromic temperature activated pigment powder is not a singular point but rather a temperature range (color change temperature range: 0 to 70°C), This range encompasses the temperatures from the initiation to the completion of the color change. Through the selection of different temperature-control factor materials, temperature sensitive pigments with distinct temperature intervals for color change can be produced.

Product Application:

Ranbar thermochromic pigment is easy to use and has a wide range of applications. It can be utilized in various fields, including water-based/oil-based printing inks, water-based/oil-based coatings, plastics, and more. Examples of applications include plastic injection molding, plastic extrusion, ceramic mugs, textile printing and dyeing, advertising materials, children’s toys, plastic spoons, cooling patches, lipstick, heat transfer decals, and printed products.
